Monopoly Big Baller game area

For many years, Monopoly has ranked among the most popular board games across all age groups. Almost as popular is Monopoly Live, inspired by the classic board game but reimagined so players can land win multipliers that boost their stake. The same applies to Monopoly Big Baller—only here you get a brand‑new game packed with endless fun and plenty of chances to win a serious pile of cash.

Overview of popular game shows

From board game to game show

Back in 1943, the board game Monopoly was patented by its producer Charles Darrow, even though its inventor is considered to be Lizzie Magie, who created the rules in 1904. The game show version, Monopoly Live, was created by developers at Evolution Gaming in cooperation with Hasbro and launched into the gambling world in 2019. In the same year, it won its first award as EGR’s Game of the Year 2019. Monopoly Big Baller is a game show based on a lottery‑style game featuring the character Mr. Monopoly. It includes a bonus round and high multipliers that can significantly increase player stakes, plus a live host who comments on the action, runs the steps, and interacts with connected players so they can enjoy a genuine casino atmosphere from home.

Monopoly Big Baller rules

Although the rules differ from the classic Monopoly board game, they’re very simple and easy to grasp. This title works like bingo, where players win based on automatically generated numbers on their cards and the numbers drawn during the round. The more matches, the bigger the payout players can walk away with.

How Monopoly Big Baller works

The game starts with players betting on 1–4 Chance/Free Space cards with any stake amount. The bet cards are filled with randomly generated numbers from 1 to 60, and in each round players can decide which cards will be Chance and which will be Free Space. Once all bets are closed and the host ends betting, the main phase begins, where winning numbers are drawn and, if applicable, win multipliers are awarded. Before that, Mr. Monopoly pulls a lever to assign multipliers and random daubs/free spaces (a daub counts as a drawn number) to the players’ cards.

Difference between a Free Space card and a Chance card

A Free Space card has an empty center cell that can act as any drawn number to complete a line and secure a win. A Chance card has the center cell filled, but a free space can be added later when multipliers and daubs are assigned—overwriting the original value and turning the filled cell into a free one.

Multipliers

In Monopoly Big Baller, players can get three types of multipliers:

  • Standard multiplier: can be assigned to any line that contains a drawn number and typically multiplies the player’s stake by 10x or 20x on a win.
  • Line multiplier: awarded when a player completes an entire line with the current round’s numbers. It’s stronger—20x or 50x.
  • Global multiplier: multiplies the win for the entire card and can boost it by 2x or 3x overall. It upgrades all winning lines and other multipliers on the card.

Drawing winning numbers

After betting and assigning random multipliers and free spaces, numbers are drawn from a mechanical drum. In each round, 20 numbers out of 60 are drawn. If a drawn number matches a number on the player’s card, that spot is automatically daubed. Players win if they manage to create one or more lines of winning numbers on a single card.

Bonus game

The bonus game triggers when a player hits a Bonus bet spot and follows the completed ball draw. In the bonus, players enter a virtual Monopoly world, moving Mr. Monopoly around the board to collect multipliers. Movement is determined by the roll of two dice.

Monopoly Big Baller review

This game will appeal especially to players who like to take risks and embrace chance—no amount of strategy or tactics will guarantee a win here. What you will get is heaps of entertainment from the game itself and the host, whose live broadcast from the studio streams directly to players, who can also chat with each other. Another draw is the high RTP, reportedly reaching 96.10%.
